Here at the Eating Disorder Association (NI) we don't claim to have all the answers but
we do try to help. The Eating Disorder Association (NI) is run by a group of dedicated
volunteers who have either experienced an eating disorder themselves or have helped a
loved one through it. Having this experience we can offer the sufferer or the carer
some friendly advice and we can listen with understanding and with sympathetic ears.
We empathise with what you are going through.
Each volunteer has been through the highs and the lows of either Anorexia or Bulimia
and therefore can help with the effects, the symptoms and the recovering process of
either one of these. Unfortunately we are limited in the knowledge of Over Eating
and we do recognise that this is a growing worry for people today so have included,
to the best of our abilities, some help on the issue.
In addition to this website we have a drop in centre, where you can call in, make
an appointment for a one to one session or we can send you information packs. We
have Family Support Groups for both sufferers and carers. These take place in Bryson
House on the second and the last Tuesday of every month at 7pm. We are always
delighted and welcoming to any new members. Finally, we have a 24hour answering
machine so if there is no one here to take your call, leave a message and someone
will get back to you.
